In 2018, Cairo faced a quiet crisis: thousands of tons of electronics disappeared into unmonitored scrap heaps, burnt for base metals or discarded in landfills, poisoning air and groundwater. DR.WEEE was founded to transform this hazard into an accountable industrial resource. After rigorous training with the United Nations University in Italy, our founders built Egypt's first licensed, fully auditable recovery facility. Instead of stopping at simple collection, we engineered sovereign shredding machinery, launched toner remanufacturing with Spear Ink, and built transparent compliance tracking. Today, DR.WEEE operates across 11+ international markets, turning retired tech into measurable value, certified materials, and verified ESG impact.
